SocGen cuts six FX staff in New York

The French bank lets go staff in sales and trading

Societe Generale has cut six staff from its corporate and investment banking division, and appointed a new head of over-the-counter (OTC) clearing sales.

The six who have left the French bank in New York are: Chris O'Lear, head of emerging market (EM) sales for London, the US and Brazil; Dennis Heidt, a G10 foreign exchange sales trader; Felix De Ambrosio, a director in EM sales; Pratik Shah, a vice-president and EMFX trader; Willie Williams, a director in global macro sales; and Scott Bennett
