Nomura dismisses FX salesperson over compliance

Guido Arslan, a foreign exchange hedge fund sales person at Nomura, has been dismissed following a breach of internal compliance, according to people familiar with the matter.

Based in London, Arslan is understood to have appealed his dismissal with legal counsel, with some believing a conclusion could be reached by the end of next week, although that timeline is not set in stone. He will not be reinstated if his appeal is successful.

Arslan's departure is understood to be unrelated to the FX
