SGX launches US presence in Chicago
Asian exchange opens US operation to build on extension of offshore trading hours on SGX in late 2016
The Singapore Exchange has opened a new office in Chicago as it launches SGX America, its US operation, in a bid to increase its global footprint and meet international investors’ appetite for Asian assets.
SGX America will be based in Chicago, from where it will cater to its growing North American client base.
“This is an important milestone in SGX’s international expansion strategy and reinforces our status as Asia’s most connected exchange,” says SGX chief executive Loh Boon Chye.
