LMAX reports 21% increase in trading volumes

Activity in New York and Asia reportedly boost activity across group’s exchanges

More than $3 trillion was traded in 2018 across the execution venues run by LMAX Exchange Group, signalling a 21% increase on the previous year, according to a financial statement released by the independent exchange operator.

Existing client activity, as well as traction in the group’s international hubs, helped to bolster this growth, according to LMAX.

New York trading rose 267% over the 2017 figures, while Tokyo volumes were up 60% for the corresponding period.
