Mexican peso poised to dominate EM currency trading

The Mexican peso, South African rand, Turkish lira, Korean won and Russian ruble are all set to remain emerging market (EM) beneficiaries of diversification away from major currencies in 2013, particularly among Asian and Japanese investors, according to EM traders.

"We keep seeing more and more Asian investors, from asset managers to Japanese retail investors, increasing their exposure to the Mexican peso," says Francisco Oliveira, head of Latin American fixed-income trading and Americas FX
