US bank says Fed liftoff still likely in September

Wells Fargo won last week's three-month currency forecast table with two close calls on the gradual strengthening of the dollar against the Swiss franc and the euro.

Eric Viloria, a currency strategist at the US bank, notes that overall economic activity in the eurozone remains subdued. In this scenario, he says, "the ECB will implement its quantitative easing (QE) programme in full", which is "likely to keep European yields restrained from an interest rate difference
