Williams quits Hotspot

Williams is believed to have left as the platform becomes increasingly integrated with owners Knight Capital Group, which acquired the platform in 2006 (FX Week April 10, 2006). Hotspot was acquired in an all-cash deal for $77.5 million and was initially being run as a separate subsidiary of Knight Capital Group.

Williams joined the electronic communications network in October 2006 as the new chief executive, replacing John Eley who left unexpectedly in August (FX Week, August 14 & October 30
