Thomson Reuters extends Elektron hosting to FX

Thomson Reuters is to extend the reach of its Elektron proximity hosting and connectivity service to include the Matching spot trading platform as well as other third-party FX liquidity pools and pre- and post-trade applications, the vendor reveals today.

Thomson Reuters Elektron was launched in April 2010 and aims to reduce latency and increase efficiency for speed-sensitive clients by hosting the matching engines of platforms, service providers and clients in a cloud-based architecture.
