Lloyds rolls out Arena to compete in FX e-commerce

Lloyds Banking Group’s corporate markets business last week launched its long-awaited single-dealer foreign exchange trading platform, dubbed Arena, which forms a key part of its aggressive FX growth strategy.

The official launch, unveiled on September 15, follows an 18-month gestation period, with one of the first steps being the development of a client advisory board in 2010 comprising representatives from different client segments to provide feedback on the features of an electronic commerce
