BAML loses co-head of Ficc trading

Gerhard Seebacher, co-head of global fixed income, currencies and commodities (Ficc) trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) in New York, is set to leave the bank after 18 years.

David Sobotka, co-head of Ficc trading, will take on full responsibility for the business as its sole head upon Seebacher’s departure at the end of the month. Seebacher is understood to be pursuing other opportunities within the industry.
