Central bank releases minutes of FX JSC sub-group meetings

The Bank of England (BoE) was told by the chief dealers' sub-group of the Foreign Exchange Joint Standing Committee (FXJSC) that there were concerns regarding unusual price movements in the FX market in July 2006, according to minutes released by the BoE today.

The sub-group, which makes up chief dealers in London across a number of major banks, says "there was evidence of attempts to move the market around popular fixing times". However, that was caveated by the sub-group's claims that those
