Probe looking into BoE's alleged role in FX scandal

The Bank of England's (BoE) Oversight Committee has appointed Lord Grabiner QC to lead the investigation into the central bank's role in relation to alleged manipulation of the foreign exchange market, the BoE said on Wednesday.

The investigation will focus on "matters relevant to the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) current investigation into trading on the foreign exchange market", and it will examine whether officials at the BoE were involved in or knew about attempts to manipulate foreign
