CME Europe ‘slow start’ expected

New exchange might not see significant FX volume for months

The launch of CME Group's new London-based financial markets exchange CME Europe on Sunday is expected to see a slow start to trading, and it could be years before it sees significant pick-up in volume, according to market participants.

"There will be interest but these things take time. No doubt it will be a slow start and then things will pick up given the right promotion, and it should see decent business filtering through. It could take months if not a couple of years before things get going
