Corporates revise hedging strategies, survey reveals

Wells Fargo study sheds light on changing corporate attitudes to risk management

Almost half of corporate market participants have developed or revised their foreign exchange hedging policy, and one-fifth have altered the mix of hedging instruments they use, according to the FX Risk Management Practices Survey 2014, conducted by Wells Fargo.

The survey, which is polled every two years, questioned 276 corporates about their hedging strategies, exposures hedged and current concerns about the market. One-third of these firms have annual revenues of more than $2 billion while
