HSBC hires senior FX salesperson

Neel Mehta joins the bank in New York

Neel Mehta, a former director of foreign exchange sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), has joined HSBC in a similar role.

As senior vice-president of FX sales, based in New York, Mehta will be responsible for building HSBC's corporate franchise and FX derivatives business to hedge funds.

Mehta left BAML in April 2014, after working in hedge fund and corporate sales for four years. He began his career in financial services in 1997 at ABN Amro as a market-maker and proprietary risk
