UBS promotes Newman in FX options

Newman takes over from Tony Hall, who moves to Singapore

John Newman, head of foreign exchange options for Europe at UBS, has been promoted to global head of FX options at the Swiss bank.

Based in Zurich, Newman now reports to Imed Souki, global head of FX, rates and credit macro options trading.

Newman has been at the bank for more than 14 years and takes over from Tony Hall, who has moved to become regional head of FX, rates and credit for Asia-Pacific in Singapore, relocating from Zurich.

Hall has been at UBS for nearly 20 years trading FX options
