Commerzbank global head of FX spot resigns

Beat Nussbaumer leaves the German bank in London

Beat Nussbaumer, managing director and global head of foreign exchange spot at Commerzbank, has resigned, according to a person familiar with the matter.

London-based Nussbaumer left the firm in January and is currently on gardening leave. He is set to join a US bank next month.

Nussbaumer has been a spot trader since 1984. He worked at Union Bank of Switzerland for more than 13 years, trading USD/CHF, and left in 1997 to join Morgan Stanley, where he focused on commodity and Asian currencies
