HSBC's Venkataraman steps into global FX options role

Ashwath Venkataraman, who was head of foreign exchange options for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea) at HSBC, has stepped into the role of global head of FX and precious metals options, taking over from Selene Chong, who is taking a sabbatical.

London-based Venkataraman previously held the role of global head of emerging market FX options between 2009 and 2014.

Chong has worked at the British bank since 2001, beginning in London. Most of her career has been spent in the FX structuring
