Former RBS trader claims dismissal was premeditated

Ian Drysdale, a former senior trader at RBS fired for gross misconduct in 2014, claimed the bank had "dishonestly contrived" his dismissal to cover its own failures in the currency manipulation scandal.

Drysdale, who filed a claim for unfair dismissal and breach of contract at a London employment tribunal, told the court his firing was premeditated and he never received any formal training by the bank in order to identify what constituted confidential information.
