Institutional investors' interest is returning to the foreign exchange market, if only to take cover and satisfy their growing concerns about currency risks in the portfolio, amid frequent bouts of volatility and the extraordinary use of monetary policy measures globally.
Asset managers say they are receiving more enquiries from asset owners, which is leading to new mandates, as investors warm to the idea of handling what has been described as the largest unmanaged risk in their portfolios.
