John Benda, vice-president for corporate sales at Deutsche Bank, is on gardening leave, FX Week has learned.

London-based Benda, who is understood to have left the firm last week, also covered hedge funds in Israel, Italian banks and asset managers.

He joined the German lender in August 2010 from Citi, where he was responsible for FX sales as vice-president for more than three years.

Previously, he was an analyst at Goldman Sachs for four months in the summer of 2006.
