Former Barclays chief joins Currencies Direct as non-exec chairman
Antony Jenkins becomes group chairman of non-bank payments and foreign exchange provider
Antony Jenkins, the former chief executive of UK bank Barclays, has joined Currencies Direct, a non-bank provider of foreign exchange and international payments services, as non-executive chairman.
Jenkins will focus on advancing the company's digital offering and expanding its international footprint to support the firm's growth. Jenkins was chief executive of Barclays for three years until July 2015, prior to which he headed up the bank's UK retail and small business division and Barclaycard
