Michael Morris, previously the global head of data acquisition at Bloomberg, is joining Fenics as head of sales for the Americas. He will be reporting to Elliott Hann, the firm's global head of sales.

Based in New York, Morris has headed up Bloomberg's data acquisition since 2012, before which he worked in data sales at Bloomberg from 2006, including a stint in the firm's Hong Kong office which ended in 2011.

Fenics was acquired by brokerage firm BGC Partners in February 2015 as part of its $778
