Foreign exchange markets have just over three years to demonstrate that voluntary adherence to the principles of the Global Code of Conduct has eliminated systemic conduct issues, as strategic questions may be asked about the effectiveness of the guidelines as soon as 2020, according to the central banker leading the work on adherence.
