While the election of Donald Trump to the US presidency may have surprised financial markets at the onset, Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, managing director of global market strategy at JP Morgan, says the effects are only just starting to be felt and the so-called Trump trade is in its early stages.

Speaking at the 2016 FX Week Europe conference in London, Panigirtzoglou says that despite the dollar having gained 20% in value over the past two years, Trump's win is likely to strengthen the US currency
