SuperDerivatives this year won the award for best options pricing/risk management software, seeing off stiff competition from second-placed GFI Group's Fenics FX, as well as products from Reuters, Murex and SunGard.
David Gershon, chief executive officer of SuperDerivatives in London, said the result reflected a "massive growth" in interest in exotic options in the past few years. "The issue of how to accurately revalue derivative positions has led more and more institutions to look for solutions that let them do this properly. Our products have introduced huge transparency into the FX options market and allowed many new users to access it."
The firm has had a busy year, launching its SuperDerivatives Risk Management system for analysing options portfolios in March, and a major upgrade to its SD-FX options-pricing tool in August.
It has also won contracts in Greece, Singapore, Germany and Austria.
