Stuart Scott, one of two co-defendants in an ongoing wire fraud case in the US, has been arrested and is expected to go before a magistrate in London for his first hearing on July 31.

Authorities in the UK arrested the 44-year-old trader on June 5, marking a critical step for the US Department of Justice (DoJ) in its quest to have Scott, a former HSBC employee, extradited to the US to answer the charges. The DoJ began extradition proceedings against Scott in October 2016.
