Chirag Patel to take sabbatical after short transition period; set to return next year in a 'senior' trading role

Chirag Patel, global head of FX options at Citi, is set to take a sabbatical and return to a ‘senior trading role’ in the New Year, according to an internal memo seen by FX Week.

Meanwhile, Nathan Swami has the permanent position of global head of options for the bank.

Patel has worked at Citi since July 2007. According to sources, one of the potential roles he is being considered for on his return is global head of spot FX. The decision as to whether he will take up that position or something
