IBM and Avaloq to build Swiss cloud

Swiss Banking Cloud could be ready to on-board new clients in second half of 2018

IBM has entered into a long-term agreement with Avaloq to jointly build a private cloud infrastructure known as the Swiss Banking Cloud, which could help the software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider to develop additional offerings that introduce more automation into the financial industry.

Avaloq, which has more than 150 banks and wealth managers who manage in excess of Sfr 4 trillion in assets ($4 trillion) worldwide, also plans to leverage IBM’s infrastructure-as-a-service offering to transform
