HSBC's risk focus pays off in forex forwards

Dan Silber, regional head of foreign exchange sales at HSBC in New York, said over the past year the bank has improved its FX forwards analytics and developed tools that price forwards using short-term interest rates. By avoiding the interdealer market for price discovery, it was able to offer better prices and liquidity to clients.
