The dollar could remain generally weak in an environment of synchronised global growth, unless there is a substantial pick-up in US capital expenditure or inflation to encourage a rapid increase in US real yields, according to strategists at Morgan Stanley.

The bank, which topped last week’s three-month G10 currency forecast table, maintains a bullish view on EUR/JPY, EUR/USD, USD/JPY and USD/CHF over the next three months.
