ECB Unlikely To Shift Rates, Market Says

DUBLIN -- The European Central Bank (ECB) holds its first meeting in Dublin this Thursday (March 15), but in spite of the change of scenery, analysts told FX Week they are expecting no change in interest rates.

The central bank has kept interest rates on hold at 4.75% since hiking rates by 25 basis points in October last year. Although several G7 central banks have followed the Federal Reserve's lead and trimmed rates in response to the slowing US economy, ECB officials have said that eurozone
