SGX names DBS's Michael Syn as head of derivatives
The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has hired Michael Syn to the newly created position of senior vice-president, head of derivatives, in a bid to bolster its trading business. Syn, currently chief operating officer at DBS Asset Management, will join the exchange on March 1. Based in Singapore, he will lead SGX's growth in the trading and distribution of derivatives, reporting directly to Gan Seow Ann, president of SGX. Syn oversaw the regional
