UBS adopts flexible approach to euro forecasts

UBS has topped the 12-month historical forecast index for the second successive week; an achievement it attributes to a willingness to change its expectations in both directions over the past year.

In the second quarter of 2010, the sovereign debt crisis escalated as the European Union put together a bail-out package to rescue Greece, and a number of forecasters (such as Gain Capital and Informa) took a bearish view on the euro as a result.
