Hotspot continues downward volume trend; FXall surpasses EBS for first time

Electronic communication network (ECN) HotspotFX reported that average daily volumes on the platform fell 33.4% to $22.7 billion in October 2011, from $34.1 billion the previous year.

The data comes after the Thomson Reuters-owned trading platform FXall and EBS showed mixed results, with the former surpassing the Icap-owned platform for the first time in its history. Average daily volumes on FXall in October reached $94 billion, while those on EBS were $92.6 billion during the same period. FXall
