May - ACI Congress spots euro rise

Panellists at forex industry show the ACI European Congress held in Luxembourg in May correctly forecast the euro’s turnaround, underlining a more widespread bullish tone for the currency that lasted the rest of the year.

Bankers and analysts in a panel discussion held at the event forecast a big move upwards for the single currency, with an aggregated 12-month forecast of $0.982 from five notable speakers -- André Roelants, president and chief executive of Clearstream International
