Making the most of upcoming volatility

Background: Over the past eight years, the late September/early October G7 finance ministers' meeting has very often proved to be a source of volatility in the currency markets. As this year's meeting approaches, volatility in the FX markets is subdued. However, there are a number of indications that this year's meeting could prove as significant as many of those in the recent past.
