Mitsubishi Mulls Expanding N.Y. FX Desk To Open Corporate Desk By 1st Qtr. ‘91?


Mitsubishi Bank Ltd. is in the midst of laying out plans to develop a corporate advisory desk in New York which sources at the bank say should be up and running by the end of the first quarter of 1991.

Until now, Mitsubishi, which has been involved in the foreign exchange market for about 10 years, has limited its activities in the New York foreign exchange market to interbank and options trading. But it now appears that the bank is preparing to spread its wings.
