BIS Final Report On Global FX Survey Shows Daily Volume At $880 Billion

Daily global net foreign exchange turnover was $880 billion last April, according to estimates by the Bank for International Settlements. The BIS finally published the results of its tri-annual survey of worldwide foreign exchange trading volume last week, almost one year after the survey was completed.

The 74-page report, whose release was originally scheduled for January, consolidates, adjusts and interprets figures supplied to the BIS by the central banks of 26 countries. The central banks
