Trial Gets Underway In New York Of Former ABN Amro Options Trader

The trial of James Martignoni, a former ABN Amro Bank currency options trader charged with bank fraud, making false entries and conspiracy to commit these offenses, is underway in New York.

Martignoni is charged with 13 counts of making false entries, two counts of bank fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit the offenses. If convicted Martignoni faces a maximum of 30 years in jail for each of the bank fraud and false-entry counts, an additional five years for conspiracy and $140 million in
