CFTC Sues FX Options Advisors Alleging 'Deception, Fraud And Misrepresentation'

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has filed a civil complaint in New York against an individual and several related currency trading advisory entities for violating provisions of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA).

The CFTC alleges, among other things, that the defendants misrepresented the potential profit and loss associated with currency options, as well as issued statements assuring customers that their funds and profits were intact and would be repaid "in full," when in fact
