Deutsche Morgan Grenfell has hired Darren Barker as a dollar/yen trader on the FX spot desk in London, officials say. Barker previously held a similar position with Citibank in London. Officials at Citibank say Barker's duties have been absorbed by other members on the desk.

Fleet Bank has named David Tente as the new global foreign exchange manager in Boston, says a bank official. He replaces senior vice president Phillip Eriksen, who has left the bank.
