Merger and acquisition flows have become less hostile for the UK over the past few months. While we expect a 25 basis point reduction in UK interest rates next week, the level of sterling interest rates is one of the highest in the industrialised world. This is unlikely to change, as the UK economy continues to show resilience to the economic weakness in the US and the unfolding
