Russian Woes Hit Euro

The sacking of Russian Prime Minister Sergei Stephashin last week slowed down the euro's recent rebound. Following news of Stephashin's dismissal, the euro fell by 1 per cent against the US dollar. However, traders say that the market reaction was tempered by the knowledge that firing governments has become a regular event in Russian
