Mathis Cabiallavetta, head of worldwide trading and risk management at Union Bank of Switzerland, will become chief executive in March 1996, officials say. Cabiallavetta has spent his entire career at UBS, joining its economic research department in 1971. In 1979 he became head of foreign exchange at UBS and has remained on the trading side ever since.
