Banca Del Gottardo Cites Strong Forex Gains In 1991

Lugano-based Banca del Gottardo was the first of the Swiss banks to announce preliminary results last week, posting a 9.5 percent rise in net profits to Sfr46 million. According to a press statement, much of the bank's good result was due to "strong activity in the forex sector." Gottardo will not release detailed numbers until after its annual general meeting in March.
