Prebon Yamane Hires New Head For Asian Currency Desk in NY

In line with its plans to concentrate on emerging markets currencies, Prebon Yamane (USA) has hired Richard Higgs as vice president and manager of the Asian and forward Australian dollar desk in New Jersey, officials say.
Higgs, who took up his post last week, comes from Tullett and Tokyo Forex where he held a similar position for the past two and a half years. He reports to Carmine Capobianco, president of the money broker's foreign exchange division.
