Reuters has launched its ForexStream mobile data service in Switzerland, allowing continuously-updated FX rates to be displayed on a palmtop PC. The service was shown for the first time at last week's Swiss Forex Association conference in Bern.

The new service uses the Swiss PTT's public paging network to distribute prices to Hewlett-Packard HP100LX palmtop PCs. The PC slots into a standard H-P "cradle" that also houses a radio receiver. The entire device fits into a (large) pocket.
