Almost one year after foreign exchange trading activity subsided dramatically in Tokyo, Japanese bank officials and analysts surveyed aren't optimistic about a revival. The Nikkei Index's continued slide, a weak economic environment and impending capital adequacy requirements will probably limit FX trading activity for the remainder of the year, if not longer.
