Crédit Suisse Surpasses UBS In Forex As Swiss Banks Report Annual Results

Crédit Suisse (CS) reported 1993 income from trading in foreign exchange, precious metals and interest rate instruments of SFr865 million, up 31 per cent over its 1992 gain of SFr659 million, according its news release on March 4. The release failed to break out FX gains, but bank officials say the annual report, to be published at the end of March, will show FX earnings of SFr807 million for 1993, a 20 per cent jump over the 1992 FX figure of SFr672 million.
